Golf girls finish 2nd at sections; 2 individuals advance to state
Section 1AA girls golf competition kicked off May 30 at Eastwood Golf Course in Rochester.
On day one of the competition, Lake City found themselves 14 strokes behind section rival Red Wing 327-341, followed by Kasson-Mantorville 378, Rochester Lourdes 398, Lewiston-Altura 400, Cannon Falls 401, Byron 402, Stewartville 412, La Crescent 446, Plainview-Elgin-Millville 452 and St. Charles 475.
Lake City was led by Ava Wallerich’s 74, Marah Rothgarn 87, Molly Kennedy 89, and Hannah LaBonte 91. Other scores included Emma Berge 97 and Taylor Willers 101.
