Grand Sand youth volleyball league concluded it’s inaugural season with a championship tournament on July 8 at Peter’s Park in Lake City. Thirty-nine players age 11-17 from Lake City, Red Wing, and Dover competed every Wednesday for five weeks as doubles and quads teams.
“The season was filled with fun, hard work, and camaraderie,” said organizer Jessica Brunn. “I have a lot of respect for the young athletes who participated. From learning new rules to self-officiating, they brought both initiative and integrity and kept the courts full of fun.”
