Gridders strong effort comes up short againt PEM
Lake City piled up 377 yards of total offense in the regular season finale but it wasn’t enough as Plainview-Elgin-Millville (PEM) prevailed in a 42-29 shootout. Two big turnovers and a blocked punt were three key plays that went in favor of the Bulldogs in an otherwise very evenly played contest.
Kaden Lamb opened the scoring as the Bulldogs marched 67 yards in six plays on the initial possession of the game. Lamb found the end zone on third down from 15 yards out and a successful two point conversion put PEM in front 8-0 with 8:49 left in the opening quarter.
