Heise to enter hockey draft
Lake City native Taylor Heise plans to enter the draft and play in one of two professional hockey leagues—either the PHF or the PWHPA this fall, according to her mother, Amy Heise.
Taylor’s collegiate career with the University of Minnesota Gopher women’s hockey team ended this year, and she recently won an IIHF Women’s World Championship as a member of Team USA.
“She will play in one of (the professional) leagues starting this fall,” Amy said. “They both have drafts like other professional sports and have city bases in the US and Canada.
