Heise named world championships MVP

Team USA came up just short in the Women’s Hockey World Championship, losing 2-1 to Canada on Sept. 4 in Denmark.

But Lake City native, Red Wing High School graduate, and current University of Minnesota women’s hockey player Taylor Heise had a great tournament playing for Team USA, leading the field in scoring with 11 assists and seven goals and taking home tournament MVP honors, all in her first appearance at the women’s world championships.
