Heitman becomes boys' second state track champion

The Lake City High School boys track and field team went on the road last Friday and Saturday night to Hamline University for state track and field competition.

The boys team finished 25th with 14 team points, which trailed the winning team of Pequot Lakes which scored 39 total team points.

Ethan Heitman finished first in the high jump on Saturday night with a jump of 6 feet 6 inches in Class A action.

Ethan had the same height as TJ Jok of Annandale, but based on misses Ethan ended up in first place.
