Hole-in-one lifts golfer to 10th in state tourney
Two local golfers, Lexi Geolat and Emily Schimbeno, competed in the 71st Minnesota Junior Girls’ State Championship held at Chaska Town Course on July 5 and 6.
Two-time defending Class AAA Individual State Champion Taylor Ledwein of New Prague won the title with rounds of 72-73 (145).
Lake City’s Lexi Geolat fired rounds of 81-80 (161) to place 10th individually while Emily Schimbeno fired rounds of 86-80 (166) to place 18th in a field of 45 of the top players in the state.
