Huettl shines, shoots 5-under en route to third straight invitational title
Thomas Huettl beat the heat and his fellow competitors, shooting a solid 5-under par 45-hole score on his way to a third consecutive victory at the 46th Lake City Invitational.
Huettl shot a day one score of 67 (-4) to lead Matt Chandler and Brent Dickerman by 2. Chris Sill shot an even par 71 to be 4 off the pace.
After the first 18 on Sunday, Huettl shot a 72 to increase his lead to 6 over Dickerman, 10 over Chandler and 11 over Alex Wallerich, who shot 77 to move into the final group.
