Lake Citians complete Berlin Marathon
Two Lake City residents were among the roughly 55,000 runners participating in the 2025 Berlin Marathon, held in Berlin, Germany, the last weekend in September.
John Falvey of Lake City completed the 26.2-mile run in 4:17:50. Katie Halder of Lake City had a time of 3:26:31. Katie’s sister, Carie Wille, a Lake City native, had a time of 3:30:12.
All three entered the race via marathon tour groups, which sets up lodging, some meals, a meet-and-greet, and an after race get-together, Halder said.
