Lake City skiers do well on challenging conference championship course
The American Birkebeiner trailhead in Cable, Wis., was the site of the Lake City Nordic ski team’s conference championships on Tuesday, Jan. 24.
Lake City Nordic skiers Gunnar McFate, Nate Stevenson, Eric Anderson, and Annika Stevenson competed along with eight other teams on the world famous “Birkie” trail.
The high school and middle school skiers were treated to an amazing performance as they skied on the expertly groomed, extremely wide, and challenging Birkie trails for the Northern Conference Championships.
