Lake City softball hangs with Stewartville into fifth

Even though the Lake City Tigers fell to the Stewartville Tigers, 15-7, April 12, they were able to keep the score within one run through the fifth inning.
A sign of a successful softball program in the making?
With ex-Stewartville catcher, Jackie Betcher, heading the Lake City program, it’s very possible.
By the end of the first Stewartville led by one, then opened the lead a bit more with a triple to right field.
