Legion baseball team extends losing streak

The Lake City Legion Baseball losing streak reached four games as Lake City lost a tough one in St Charles June 24, 5-4.

Lake City took an early 1-0 lead, but a few errors in the first couple innings put Lake City in a 4-1 hole.

Lake City’s defense shut out St. Charles for three innings to keep it close. Lake City scored 2 runs in the top of the sixth to cut the lead to one. They added on another run in the top of the seventh to tie the game, but left bases loaded with a chance to regain the lead.
