Legion baseball team wins five inning game

The Lake City American Legion baseball  team cruised to a 10-0 five inning win over Dover-Eyota (D-E) last Thursday, which raised their season record to 3-2.
The main difference in the game was defense.  Lake City played errorless ball, while the Eagles committed five errors which led to six unearned runs for the Tigers.  Also, pitchers Thomas Lewis (four innings) and Charlie White (one inning) combined for a nifty two hitter, striking out four in the process.  D-E’s left fielder Jack Studer got both of the Eagles’ hits.
