Legion nine splits first two games

The Lake City American Legion baseball team split their first two games of the season as they lost 7-4 at Chatfield last Thursday and won 11-5 at Plainview Monday.
Two young pitchers, Tyler Pribyl and Drew Bailey, shared the mound duties for the Tigers at Chatfield, and generally did a good job, limiting the Gophers to three hits.  But nine walks gave Chatfield plenty of baserunners, and three Tiger errors contributed to the Gophers’ scoring opportunities.  Three Chatfield runs were unearned.
