Lourdes stops tennis Tigers
The Lake City Tiger girls tennis team finished off their regular season on the road against Rochester Lourdes on Oct. 6. The Eagles shut out Lake City 7-0.
In singles play, the Tigers had two tight matches. At No. 2 singles, Ava Wallerich came out slow, losing her first set 1-6. She then roared back for a 6-2 win in the second. In the third set she narrowly missed 5-7.
Ashley Thieren captured her first set 6-4 at No. 4 singles. In the second set tables reversed and she lost 2-6. Her steam ran out as she lost the third 1-6.
