Matanich’s monster day
Lincoln High School graduate Josh Matanich was the standout hitter for the Luther College Norse baseball team in a double header sweep of Wartburg on April 7.
“Josh Matanich had a monster afternoon driving in 11 runs, six in game one and five in game two, that included the game winner in the bottom of the ninth of game two. Matanich finished the afternoon 6-for-10,” the school wrote in its recap article.
In the 9-6 victory in game one, “Matanich had a three-run home run in the second, and a three-run double in the eighth.”
