Miller, Heise end 30-plus year state drought for Tiger boys tennis
The boys tennis team concluded their season with Ryan Heise and Eli Miller competing in the state individual tournament as a doubles team. Ryan and Eli began the tournament against the No. 5 seeded team from Fridley. The boy’s started out strong but ultimately lost 1-6/0-6.
Their second-round match was a battle against the team from Rock Ridge (Virginia). It was a back and forth first set that went to a tiebreaker. Lake City competed valiantly but lost 6-7 (5). The Tigers continued to battle through the second set but fell just short 3-6.
