Missed opportunities lead to overtime loss for Tiger football team

Missed opportunities came back to haunt Lake City as Zumbrota-Mazeppa notched a dramatic 19-13 victory in overtime Friday night.
The Tigers got on the board first as Greg Banaszynski recorded the first of three sacks in the game and forced a fumble which was scooped up by Ellis Banks at the Cougars 10-yard line. Two plays later, Colter Hegge scored on a one-yard quarterback sneak. Ethen Brunkow’s extra point put Lake City in front 7-0 with 3:14 to play in the first quarter.
