Nordic skiers season ends with state competition

The Wisconsin Nordic Ski League (WNSL) hosted its 39th annual Nordic state championships this past weekend in Cable, Wis. The 19-team event kicked-off on Friday with a pre-race course inspection. Saturday was the classic race portion of the event with an ice cream social, while Sunday was the freestyle pursuit event and the awards ceremonies. The American Birkebeiner start area is the backdrop for both the start and the finish of all the weekend’s races.
