The Lake City High School bowling team traveled to Rushford for the conference championship for both varsity and junior varsity (JV).
The varsity won their semifinal match against Wabasha Kellogg 3-0 in the best of five format. They then bowled Winona in the finals, to see who earns the trip to the state tournament, losing a tough match 3-0, losing the last two games 223-202 and 210-199.
“The kids bowled really well having four out of six games over 200 and that’s all you can ask for,” Lake City Coach John O’Flaherty said.
