Pair of upsets send wrestler Tanner Frank to state
Lake City senior Tanner Frank won the championship at 126 pounds at last Saturday’s Section 1AA Tournament, earning him a berth in the State Class AA Tournament Friday (tomorrow) and Saturday. It will be Frank’s first trip to state, and helps erase two years of frustration of falling just short of making the State Tourney his sophomore and junior seasons.
Frank received the sixth seed at the state tournament (out of the 16 wrestlers in that weight division) and will square off against Foley’s Cameron Kowite in tomorrow’s first round which starts at 9 a.m.
