Promising start for girls track and field

Lake City turned in a strong showing Friday at the Klas Kronbusch Track and Field Invitational, hosted by Wabasha-Kellogg.

Grand Meadow/LeRoy-Ostrander/Kingsland/Southland won the girls team competition with 171 points. Wabasha-Kellogg was second (115), followed by Kenyon-Wanamingo/Goodhue (94), Lake City (76), Cochrane-Fountain City (69), Zumbrota-Mazeppa (58), and Alma-Pepin (8).
