For second consecutive year, cross country teams sweep conference meets
The Lake City Cross Country teams duplicated 2019 in 2020 by sweeping both Hiawatha Valley League (HVL) varsity championships on Saturday at Byron High School. The boys started the day with a thirty-three point advantage over Lourdes and five runners in the top ten. All of them ran All Conference performances. Two of them ran personal bests.
The girls followed with a seventeen point victory over Stewarville. They also had five runners run All Conference performances. Along with that there were three bests, and two times that were among the best run in Minnesota to date.
