Second ranked girls Tiger golfers open season with a win at Mount Frontenac

The Lake City girls golf team, ranked second in the state in the Minnesota Golf Association’s (MGA) preseason rankings (which includes all three classes) only behind Class 3A power Edina, captured the Mount Frontenac Invite on April 8 at Mount Frontenac Golf Course.
The Tigers fired a solid season opening 316 to win by 39 strokes over Winona 355, followed by Visitation 359, Rosemount 388, Park 398, and Eastview 404.          Jaycee Rhodes of Visitation won medalist honors with a fine one over par 72.
