On senior night, Tiger boys avenge loss to Byron

Lake City left little doubt who the top squad was in the Hiawatha Valley League Gold Division this season as the Tigers pummeled Byron 70-48 on senior night to put an emphatic stamp on a second straight division crown.

Lake City played its best 18 minutes of basketball of the entire season to date in the first half as the Tigers raced out to an early 17-5 lead just 6:20 into the game. Perhaps playing with a little extra fire on senior night, all five Tigers starters found the scoring column in the big run to open the game.
