Shones’ 18 points help Tiger boys overwhelm Blooming Prairie

Jaden Shones scored a career-high 18 points as Lake City overwhelmed Blooming Prairie 77-42 in the opening round of the Section 1AA Playoffs last Thursday night at Lincoln High School in the first meeting between the two schools since 1997.

The Tigers opened the post season in emphatic fashion by scoring 18 straight points in just a 3:16 span to grab a 20-2 lead after five minutes of play. Ryan Heise hit a trio of triples in 57 seconds to highlight the strong start to the game for Lake City.
