Shones scores 1,000th point

Mya Shones has become just the eighth Tiger girls basketball player to score 1,000 career points.
Shones reached the milestone on a putback against Dover-Eyota on Feb. 24 at the Mayo Civic Auditorium in Rochester (see related story).
Shones is a sophomore at Lincoln High School. Teammate and fellow sophomore Natalie Bremer also surpassed 1,000 points this season.
