Ski team battles weather, success in third season

The Lake City Nordic cross country ski club faced two shortages going into this season.

Twenty-four Lincoln High School students participated in the program last year. Eight graduated. And yet coach and Lincoln High School teacher Jim Anderson found himself scrambling for skis this year when the club grew to 34 members.

He scoured swap meets in search of skis but says he couldn’t have outfitted the team without the financial support the club has received.
