Ski team launches second season in high school league
The Lake City High School Nordic cross country ski team began its second season in the Minnesota State High School League (MSHSL) and its overall twelfth season back on November 10, with running, roller skiing, and strength training in hopeful anticipation of a snowy Minnesota winter. The plan was to dryland train for a few weeks and by the first week of December to transition to skiing on snow. We’ve spent the last two seasons with virtually no snow which has meant we’ve dryland trained well into December and sought out artificial snow venues as frequently as possible in order to get some exposure to skiing on snow.
