Soccer: Boys beat Red Wing, lose to PIZM in shutout
The Lake City High School boys soccer team had home games on consecutive days, but they were in different months and yielded very different results.
On Sept. 30, they defeated Red Wing 6-2.
On Oct. 1, they were shut out 10-0 by Pine Island-Zumbrota-Mazeppa.
The boys lost their Oct. 3 game on the road against Winona Cotter 0-7.
The Tigers earned the No. 7 seed in the Section 1A tournament. They were scheduled to face 10th seeded Red Wing at home in the first round of the Section 1A tournament on Monday, Oct. 7.
