Softball team has near upset of top seed Cotter

In an incredible show of talent and potential, the eighth-seeded Lake City Tigers softball team was able to hold first-seeded Cotter to zero runs until the bottom of the seventh in the May 20 subsection showdown in Winona.
The Tigers batted first and were out in the field after just three batters. Then turned around and sent the Ramblers back to the field after three batters, courtesy of a ground out to Nora Baer at third, a fly ball caught by Delaney Issendorf in center field, and a catch at second by Allison Hanson.
