Solid play leads to Tigers win over Kasson-Mantorville
Nathan Heise scored 23 of his season-high 28 points in the second half, including the 1000th of his career as Lake City beat Kasson-Mantorville 65-43 Friday. Heise became the eighth boys’ player in school history to reach the plateau, doing so in impressive fashion as he hit six three-pointers after halftime.
The Tigers got off to a strong start on the road, storming out to a 7-0 lead three minutes in to prompt a KoMets timeout. Kasson-Mantorville was held scoreless the first 4:36 of the game before they would embark on an 8-2 run to close within one.
