Speech Tigers win season's first meet

The Lake City Speech team started their season as the high school’s Snow Days wound down on Feb. 3. Boarding a bus in the dark, the team jetted off to Kasson-Mantorville to the Komet Komotion Speech Meet.
The team tied for first with Byron and vowed a re-match in the coming weeks.
“The first meet of the season was a great success with a well prepared team ready to present their three weeks of hard work,” Coach Anna Karsten said.
