Stewartville eliminates Tennis girls in semifinals

After shutting out St. Croix Lutheran High School Oct. 3, the Lake City Tigers girls tennis team advanced to the semifinal round against Stewartville, who had defeated New Life Academy on Oct. 3.
The two Tiger teams had faced each other earlier in the season on Sept. 16 and Lake City came away with a 4-3 win.  This time the namesake Tigers from Stewartville turned the tide, sending Lake City packing in a 5-2 victory.
At  No. 1 singles, Emma Brunkow was controlled 6-0, 6-1 against Miah Mikel.
Renae Harvey was dismissed 6-4, 6-2 by Chloe Regal at No. 2.
