Stewartville hands boys their first loss of the season

A slow start was too much to overcome as Lake City suffered its first loss of the season last Thursday night 65-61 at Stewartville.

The visiting Tigers started the game just one of 12 from the field, with Keegan Ryan’s putback basket with 12:41 remaining until halftime the lone field goal of the first 11 minutes.

Stewartville capitalized on the cold shooting by Lake City to build a 16-5 lead before Ryan knocked down a three-pointer from the right wing to cut the deficit to eight with 6:49 remaining until halftime.
