Tennis boys sneak past Red Wing in 4A opener
The Lake City Tigers boys tennis team traveled to Red Wing May 14 for the first round of the Section 4A team tournament.
The underdog Tigers snuck past the Wingers with a 4-3 win.
In singles play Lake City grabbed three of the four points.
Mitchel Medvec stroked to a win at No. 1 against Aidan Coyle, 6-1, 6-2.
Alex Holmgren was denied the win at No. 2 singles 6-2, 6-1 against Nathan Farrar.
Ryan Heise took the point at No. 3 singles against Josh Kolby 6-0, 6-4.
At No. 4 singles Joey Nafe was the victor 6-4, 6-1 against Aidan Hull.
