Tennis girls place 7th in JM Tournament
The Lake City girls Tiger tennis team traveled to Rochester Sept. 16 and participated in the John Marshall Tournament.
In their first round against Robbinsdale Armstrong (RA) the Tigers were defeated 2-5.
The tournament format was eight point pro sets with seven point tiebreakers.
In singles play RA swept the bracket.
Sarah Ziebarth lost 0-8 at No. 1, Maddie Medvec lost 0-8 at No. 2, Kaylee Muenzhuber was defeated 4-8 at No. 3 and Katherine Kennedy lost 1-8 at No. 4.
In doubles play, Ashley Thieren and Ava Wallerich were in control for the win at No. 1, 8-1.
