Tennis girls shut out Red Wing
The Lake City High School girls tennis team had a busy week of matches, taking on Hastings, John Marshall and Red Wing.
The Tigers traveled to Hastings Aug. 22 to take on the Raiders and lost 4-3.
Ava Wallerich won at No. 1 singles 7-6 (7-1) tiebreaker, 6-2.
Ashley Thieren lost at No. 2 singles 1-6, 4-6.
Emma Brunkow was in control at No. 3 singles 6-0, 6-2.
Kaylee Muenzhuber won a close battle at No. 4 singles 7-6 (7-5) tiebreaker, 7-5.
In doubles play, Kasi Cronin and Hailey Meincke lost 2-6, 3-6 at No. 1.
