Tennis girls split matches at John Marshall tourney
The Lake City High School girls Tiger tennis team participated in the annual John Marshall Tournament Sept. 14, with only a six-team bracket.
The Tigers soundly defeated Henry Sibley Senior High 7-0 in the first match of play.
Lake City coaching mixed things up a bit for the day.
Sarah Ziebarth stepped into No. 1 single and won easily 6-0, 6-1.
At No. 2 singles, Renae Harvey took the point 6-3, 6-2.
Madeline Medvec grabbed her point at No. 3 singles with an easy 6-1, 6-2 win.
Liberty Heise was not to be denied at No. 4 singles, cruising 6-1, 6-1.
