Tennis team season ends, one doubles pair still alive
The Lake City Boys Tennis Team has concluded its season after losing 2-5 to Schaeffer Academy on Tuesday, May 24 during the second round of Section play.
Number one singles Jack Meincke defeated Faith Monson 7-5, 6-3 and Number four singles Jaymes Lukes defeated Joseph Lash 6-3, 6-2 to earn Lake City s two points. Trey Meincke dopped his match 6-1, 6-0 in the number two slot and Elijah Miller lost in the number 3 spot, 6-1, 6-4. Doubles action had pairs playing some hard-fought sets before ultimately dropping them.
