Tennis Tigers drop 2 matches
On Sept. 15 the Lake City High School girls tennis team traveled to Cannon Falls. They were defeated by the Bombers 5-2.
The two points came in singles action with wins by Emily Albright at No. 2 singles, 6-2, 7-5 and Ava Wallerich at No. 3 singles, 6-3, 6-3.
Grace Dankers was outplayed at No. 1 singles 1-6, 3-6.
Katherine Kennedy was denied at No. 4 singles, 0-6, 0-6.
In the doubles bracket Lake City was sent packing.
Katie Johnson and Kasi Cronin went a full three sets in their narrow loss, 6-3, 1-6, 5-7 at No. 1 doubles.
