Tennis Tigers split 2 matches

The Lake City High School girls tennis team split back-to-back matches this week.  Monday they hosted Ellsworth, Wis. and stroked to a 6-1 win.  On Tuesday they traveled to Hastings and narrowly missed the win 4-3.
In the loss to Hastings the three points came from No. 1, No. 2 and No. 3 singles.  Ashley Thieren suffered her first loss of the young season at No. 4 going out 4-6, 2-6.
Grace Dankers went 2-6, 6-4, 6-4 at No. 1 in a three set tilt; Emily Albright also played out three sets in a 4-6, 6-2, 6-1 win; and Ava Wallerich held on for a win at No. 3 going 6-2, 5-7, 6-2.
