Tiger boys’ State hopes dashed with last-second three-pointer

Kaiden Peters hit a deep three pointer at the buzzer to lift Plainview-Elgin-Millville to a dramatic 58-55 victory over Lake City in the Section 1AA championship game last Thursday night at the Mayo Civic Center Arena. The 2022-23 season ended in heartbreak for the Tigers, who had an opportunity to take the lead in the final ten seconds.

The Bulldogs made four of their first five shots from the field and quickly stormed out to a 9-0 lead before Ryan Heise scored on a driving layup to put the Tigers on the scoreboard for the first time with 13:38 remaining in the first half.
