Tiger boys basketball season opens with a narrow loss to Lewiston-Altura

Hunter Lorenson tied a career-high with 28 points, but it wasn’t enough as Lewiston-Altura upset second-ranked Lake City 67-64 in the season opener for both teams last Thursday night at Lincoln High School.

Lorenson opened the game five of six from the floor as Lake City opened a 17-9 lead after the first six minutes of play. Thomas Brand and Jack Meincke each hit three-pointers in the early stages as the Tigers forced five early turnovers by the Cardinals.
