Tiger boys win Jewel invite
The Lake City boys’ golf team captured the title at the Jewel Invitational on Wednesday, May 4 and then topped it off by shattering a school record on Friday, May 6.
The Tigers shot a 308 at The Jewel Golf Club to beat second place Red Wing by 11 shots in the eight-team field.
Friday saw Zumbrota-Mazeppa and Hayfield travel to the Lake City Golf Club for an Hiawatha Valley League conference meet. Lake City fired a blistering score of 295 to beat the old record of 302 that was set in 1988.
