Tiger football falls to Saints in season opener

Saint Charles rushed for 331 yards and rolled to a 42-14 victory over Lake City in the season opener last Friday night. Severe weather brought a premature end to the contest as lightning strikes in the vicinity stopped the game with 9:19 remaining in the fourth quarter. The Saints opened the scoring with a 29-yard touchdown pass from Owen Maloney to Henry Davidson on fourth down with 6:01 remaining in the first quarter. A successful point-after by Michael Howard made it 7-0.
