Tiger football team mauled by No. 2 Stewartville

Second-ranked Stewartville lived up to its billing with a decisive 57-6 win on Friday night over Lake City. Stewartville remains unbeaten on the season, while Lake City suffered its sixth straight loss to fall to 1-6.

Any early momentum from Nate Jasso’s 32-yard kick return to open the game was erased as Marc Kjos was intercepted on the first play from scrimmage. Six plays later, Brandon Hoth found the end zone from four yards out and a successful two-point conversion gave Stewartville an 8-0 lead.
