Tiger football treats homecoming crowd to impressive performance

An overflow homecoming crowd saw an impressive performance from the number one ranked team in class AAA as Lake City throttled Zumbrota-Mazeppa 40-7 last Friday night. The Tigers piled up 321 yards of offense in the first half en route to a 37-0 lead at halftime.

Lake City opened the scoring with a seven-play, 53-yard drive that featured 34 yards rushing by Justin Wohlers, including a 13-yard touchdown run up the middle. Carson Matzke booted the extra point to give the Tigers a 7-0 lead with 6:45 remaining in the first quarter.
