Tiger girls golf competes in soggy HVL meet
The Lake City girls golf team traveled to soggy Willow Creek Golf Course in Rochester for the second Hiawatha Valley League (HVL) meet on May 18. Class AA’s top-ranked Tigers won the event with a 333, followed by Stewartville 376, Kasson-Mantorville 393, Byron 395, Rochester Lourdes 404, Kenyon-Wanamingo 407, and Cannon Falls 422.
Lake City was led by medalist Olivia Matzke’s 81, and a trio of 84’s by Lidia Wallerich, Lexi Geolat and Ava Wallerich. Other scores included Marah Rothgarn 104 and Taylor Willers 108.
