Tiger girls lose close game with Goodhue
The Lake City Tigers girls’ basketball team traveled to Goodhue on Dec. 17 to take on the Goodhue Wildcats in a Hiawatha Valley League (HVL) conference game. They were defeated 69-63.
The Wildcats took an early 7-2 lead over the Tigers with 13:33 to go in the first half. The Tigers came back and tied up the game at nine with 9:37 to go in the half.
Lake City got a couple of steals and nice passes and went ahead by seven. The Wildcats then pulled within two. The lead switched hands several times.
